Death. Its everywhere. On television, in the movies, in newspapers and magazines.
Man kinds biggest obsession is what happens after. Do you rot in a hole? Do you go somewhere?
Well, this is what really happens to those who die.. prematurly. Robert and Stephanie DuBois,
and Jospeh Morson all had a reason to die. It was to save the rest of the living from The Darkness.
The Darkness is a monster that feeds off of your worst nightmares. It devours the living, and runs from the dead, because it's a soul that was so evil, so hated, and so spiteful, it couldn't be cleansed. So it haunts for the rest of eternity, never quite feeling full. The Darkness only has one master, and her name is Red. Seductive, beautiful, and very very cruel.
She can transform into whatever your heart desires, just for you to be on her side. If you betray her, you typically don't live very long.

What? You thought death was a man? Nope... Just me, in all my glory. Red was my sister, she was in charge of leading people to me, so they could live on. But, as baby sisters are, she
got jealous of my power, and rebeled. She believes people who died un fairly should be able to haunt the living, but they need to learn to forgive, which is why I started this program
called Dead Like Me, or DLM. It's for young people to learn how to explain death to the recently dead, and to collect all their hatered, anger, resentment and give them... well,
relief.
But, they can't do it alone. That's why they're in teams of three. They get weapons to fend off spawns of darkness called Sparkz and they report back to me.
